Über Kunstwerk
Noltee has lived and worked in Dordrecht for a large part of his life. He was also known as "the Dordtse Breitner" because of his similar style and often urban scenes.
Über Künstler
Der in Den Haag geborene Cor Noltee reiste viel, lebte und arbeitete in Paris, Rotterdam und Brügge, bevor er sich 1937 in Dordrecht niederließ. Er bevorzugte impressionistische Landschaften und Stadt- und Flussblicke und arbeitete auf robuste und selbstbewusste Weise, die ihm den Spitznamen „the Breitner von Dordrecht '. Noltee studierte an der Kunstakademie in Den Haag, wo er unter anderem Willem de Zwart unterrichtete.
